The original construction of the warehouse left some of the rebar too close to the surface of the concrete and as such we will occasionally have patches, 6. The divots in the concrete play havoc with our forklifts when they driving a heavy load (3. I was worried the temp would inhibit the ability of the epoxy to cure but is not the case. We mixed and applied the epoxy to a couple divots and Monday morning they were are hard as a rock. I mixed this just like they said, I put it down at the proper temperature. I am one who reads instructions like a hawk. I don't know what I am going to do. I used this on about 2. THERE IS NOTHING ON ANY DIRECTION OR INSTUCTIONS THAT STATES TO ONLY MIX THIS PRODUCT WHEN THE HUMIDITY LEVEL IS BELOW ! Now I have a bunch of tacky grey spots all over the garage. They said it might work if I put in a de- humidifier in my garage . So I need now go spend $2. I don't even know what to do now. IF I could give this negative stars I would! Maybe it is okay for tiny cracks or on the driveway or floor but walls - no way! And the surface is very glossy- I don't know if anything will stick to it! It really sets up in about 1. I think I was using 3: 2 resin to hardener ratio. I found it weird that it washes up with soap and water, because no real epoxy Ive ever used is water soluble. First and foremost, it will fill in cracks in your concrete. And it will dry rock hard. So no complaints about the quality and durability of the product (at least so far). I also painted (with two- part epoxy paint) over the filler and can attest that it is paintable and took the paint as well as the surrounding concrete. Technically speaking, can one sand it? Sure, in a perfect world, with the perfectly right tools, endless free time, and endless money for sandpaper, you can sand it. But in the real world, it's hardly sandable. LevelQuik RS (Rapid Setting) Self-Leveling Underlayment helps level floors prior to the installation of ceramic tile, natural stone, resilient flooring, carpet, wood and other floor coverings. This quick-setting underlayment can be applied to 1.5 in.We had four cracks in our garage floor. They weren't particularly wide at all, but were pretty deep, so they required two applications to ensure no remaining depressions. The first coat went on well (as others mentioned, it's much thinner than expected), but the end result wasn't completely level (still a bit depressed) so we added a second layer (recommended on box). The second layer didn't go on anything like the first. It was nearly impossible to smooth cleanly with the putty knife. For lack of a better description, the second layer kept tearing as I smoothed it with the putty knife (it was applying very unevenly). It was almost as if the putty couldn't grip to the first coat of filler nearly as well as it gripped to the porous concrete on the first coat. But at this point I didn't worry because I knew we could sand.. Even with using a big, heavy duty floor sander, multiple brand new extremely coarse sandpaper pads, and hours of sanding, we weren't able to get everything level. This stuff is nearly impossible to sand. Especially if you have multiple, long cracks. It will take you days. Obviously, the concrete on our garage floor is porous, so unless you are able to get the filler directly in the crack and nowhere else, you'll also be filling in the tiny . This will leave you with not only a filled crack, but a smooth streak on both sides of the crack. Pretty common sense, but I didn't think about that logic beforehand. However, I think the product also sets unrealistic expectations about the process and end result. Unfortunately, when that dried some of the cracks between the floor and foundation were deep enough that the epoxy sunk down in and they still existed. I needed a small kit to cover a few feet where the cracks were deepest and was able to get this locally. I used about a quarter of the kit to cover about six feet of a 1cm crack. I found it easier to use for small patches than quick dry hydraulic cement mixes because it goes on easier and you have about 3. I think a lot of the negative reviews are from people using this in the wrong application. I will be putting a concrete micro topping over so it's not as important to me but I couldn't see this looking good without some finishing on top. It's too runny for wall aplication. Floor application is good, however it's hard to get it to apply smooth like the picture. It fills cracks and divots well. The box says it cures in 8 hours but it was closer to a day before I was able to sand it down. It's a VERY hard compound when dry. I used a belt sander with a 3. A LOT of time to sand down all the patches. The finished product is nice. You might have to do two coats to get it perfect, occasional voids in the epoxy would have to be filed after you sanded them down. All in all though I'd try a different product that's easier to work with after it's dry. This stuff is bulletproof. There is a lot of material in the box for the cost. As others have stated, the product catalyzes slowly. However it does catalyzes completely over several weeks to a very sold compound. It flows relatively well which helps the product to self level. I wouldn't use the product on vertical surfaces due to its viscosity. However, it is perfectly suitable for flat surfaces.
